Dr. Arif Hussain is the Head of Cardiac Critical Care at the King Abdulaziz, Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Hussain, is a Cardiac Anesthesiologist and Intensivist who received his training and education in Boston Massachusetts at the Harvard University. He is a diplomat in critical care echocardiography, and advanced peri-operative transesophageal echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography, USA. He is the immediate past president of Winfocus and has been involved in developing, teaching and directing ultrasound courses all over the world over the past 20 years. Dr. Hussains research interests are in right ventricular function and heart-lung interactions along with multi organ ultrasound assessment of complex cardiovascular problems. He has numerous publications in cardiac ultrasound and has been involved in developing guidelines and international consensus recommendations on several aspects of ultrasound.
